What is biltong?

Biltong is a traditional Southern African method of preserving and flavouring meat. Premium cuts of beef are carefully seasoned and air-dried slowly over several days. The result is a rich, tender, high-protein snack with a depth of flavour that sets it apart from anything else.

How is biltong different from beef jerky?

The key difference is in the preparation. Jerky is cooked or smoked at high heat, which changes the texture and flavour of the meat. Authentic biltong is never cooked — it is air-dried slowly using a traditional curing process. This produces a more tender texture, a richer flavour and a higher protein content per gram.

What ingredients are used?

WR Biltong is made with premium Australian beef and a carefully selected blend of traditional seasonings. No artificial preservatives. No added sugar. No unnecessary fillers.

How much protein does it contain?

WR Biltong contains approximately 50g of protein per 100g — making it one of the most protein-dense natural snacks available.

How should it be stored?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume within 7 days. Best enjoyed at room temperature.

Does it require refrigeration?

Unopened packs do not require refrigeration. Once opened, we recommend refrigerating and consuming within 7 days.

What is the shelf life?

Up to 3 months unopened when stored correctly.

Where is it made?

WR Biltong is crafted in Australia using premium Australian beef and traditional South African preparation methods inspired by the heritage of Wit Rivier (White River), Mpumalanga.

How do I place an order?

Simply browse our shop, add your chosen products to your cart and proceed to checkout. You can choose a one-time purchase or a recurring subscription at checkout.

Can I change my order?

If you need to make changes to your order, please contact us as soon as possible at our contact page. We will do our best to accommodate changes before your order is dispatched.

Can I cancel an order?

Orders can be cancelled before they are dispatched. Please contact us promptly if you need to cancel. Once dispatched, orders cannot be cancelled but may be eligible for return in accordance with our returns policy.

How do I track my order?

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information so you can follow your delivery.

We deliver Australia-wide. Whether you're in a capital city or a regional area, we'll get your biltong to you.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery times vary depending on your location. Metropolitan areas typically receive orders within 2–5 business days. Regional areas may take a little longer. You will receive tracking information once your order is dispatched.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. We offer competitive rates Australia-wide.

Will I receive tracking?

Yes. All orders include tracking. You will receive your tracking details by email once your order has been dispatched.

Yes — completely free. There are no joining fees, no hidden charges and no lock-in contracts.

How do subscriptions work?

Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

Absolutely. You remain completely in control. Pause, skip a delivery, change your frequency or cancel at any time — no fees, no questions asked.

How do referral rewards work?

Every Biltong Club member receives a unique referral link and personalised QR code. When a friend joins and places their first order using your referral, you earn rewards. Track your referrals and rewards from your member dashboard.

Returns & Support

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your order arrives damaged or in unsatisfactory condition, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving it. Include a photo if possible and we will arrange a replacement or refund promptly.

What if I receive the wrong item?

We sincerely apologise if this happens. Please contact us immediately and we will resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
